Miss Southeast 2008
Michelle Alvarado
of North Platte.
The Saline County Scholarship Program is proud to
sponsor, with it's supporters, Michelle as their Miss Southeast. Michelle is the daughter of Michael & Sandy Alvarado
and is a junior at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Michelle is majoring in elementary education and minors in dance. She
has created the choregraphy for the University's Gynastic Team. Her PLATFORM is the nation & state "Head Start" program
for families & their children. She has given community hours to her cause and has a passion to assist the children
in this program.
Michelle will receive a $400.00 scholarship from
the local competition for her studies at UNL and will proceed on to Miss Nebraska in 2008. Scholarships of $1,000.00 has been
given to competing contestants the past six years for participation.
